The information in the FIR lodged after the ACB-EOW raid on the premises of Bilaspur District Education Officer Tikaram Sahu is enough to tell the rot in the government department, especially the education department. The ACB FIR has full details of the huge wealth he had amassed during his tenure of nearly 35 years. According to the information given in the ACB FIR, DEO Sahu bought 9 properties in his own name and 15 in the name of his wife Purnima Sahu, a teacher posted in Atmanand School. Apart from residential plots, agricultural land is also included in this. All these properties were bought in Kabirdham district. Not only this, the price of the registry stamp itself is said to be in crores. The important thing that has come to light in this is that the ACB-EOW team did not get any significant cash from the DEO’s residence.

Sanjay Dinkar Devasthale, posted as Deputy Superintendent of Police in the State Economic Offences Investigation Bureau, has filed a report in the EOW against Bilaspur District Education Officer Tikaram Sahu. It was told that while working as a public servant, TR Sahu acquired immovable properties worth crores of rupees in his name and in the name of his family members, far beyond his known sources of income.

The FIR gives details of 16 properties registered in the name of Tikaram Sahu and 7 properties registered in the name of his wife Purnima Sahu.
