Raipur. Voting for urban body elections in Chhattisgarh was held in a peaceful manner today. The municipalities of 33 districts have a total turnout of 72.19%. In polling across the state, the percentage of men was recorded 73.07%, 71.66% of women and 19.75% of the third gender. According to the data released by the State Election Commission, the percentage of voting was high in some districts, while in some districts like Bilaspur, Raipur it was quite low.
Korea district has the highest turnout
Korea district set a record with the highest 84.97% turnout, while 84.65% of the voters exercised their franchise in Gariaband.
Bilaspur the lowest turnout
The lowest polling in the state was recorded in Bilaspur district, where the total polling was 51.37%. At the same time, the percentage of voting in Raipur was also low, where 52.75% of the voters exercised their franchise.
Voting of third gender community
In Mungeli and Gariaband districts, the voters of the third gender community voted 100%, while in many districts the figure was 0%.
