Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions to the officers to organize the next Ramayana Manas Mandali competition in the month of January 2023 under the Manas Mandali Promotion Scheme. He said that this year a commendable work has been done to get 70 thousand artists of seven thousand troupes to participate through Manas Mandali competition. Shri Baghel said that the competition should be started from village level to make Manas Mandali competition more comprehensive and for public participation. A committee constituted by the department should be monitored and arrangements should be made to give awards on the spot. Manas Mandali competition was organized. In the state level competition, the winning troupe has been given first prize of Rs 5 lakh, second prize of Rs 3 lakh and third prize of Rs 2 lakh as incentive. On 10th April this year, a state level Manas Mandali competition was organized at Shivrinarayan on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of the development works of the first phase of Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit. In this competition, 70 thousand Manas Kalakaras of seven thousand Ramayana Manas Mandals participated in this competition. Organizing Ramayana Manas Mandali competition in a big way is proving to be an exemplary initiative for the protection and promotion of working artists of Ramayana circles of Chhattisgarh region under the state’s art and cultural tradition. It is worth noting that for the promotion and promotion of local artists, the Chinchari portal has been prepared by the Culture Department. Artists are registering through this portal.
