Wildlife Conservation Week is being celebrated from October 2 to 8 to create awareness among the people about wildlife in the state. In this context, under the guidance of Forest and Climate Change Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, a rally was also taken out under various programs organized on the last day on 2nd October under Raigad Forest Division. It was inaugurated by District Panchayat President Shri Nirakar Patel. The rally was taken out from Gandhi Chowk in Raigad, the district headquarters to the forest division office. In this regard, Forest Divisional Officer Raigad Ms. Stylon Mandavi said that apart from common citizens, members of Joint Forest Management Committee participated enthusiastically in the rally. It is worth noting that every year Wildlife Week is celebrated in the state from October 2 to 8. During this, various programs like speech, essay, debate, painting, photography and rally etc. competitions are also organized to increase awareness and information about wildlife among the people.
