Women of Aajeevika Mission (BIHAAN) are writing new success stories by joining the group. All this is being possible by forming groups of women and girls residing in rural areas through Bihar and connecting them with self-employment. Through Bihaan, 11 members of Chandni Mahila Self Help Group of Village Panchayat Rahangi of District Bilaspur, Block Bilha have earned an income of Rs. 2 lakh from fisheries business. The families of these sisters of the group are personally engaged in agricultural and non-agricultural work. After joining the scheme, they have got a means of additional income. His prestige in the society has also increased now. The government is making every effort to make women empowered and self-reliant with the help of Bihaan in three-tier panchayats and it is also yielding fruitful results. The financial assistance and benefits received by the group under the Bihaan scheme affected the sisters of this group more. All the didis together decided to form a self-help group and make their family financially strong by taking financial help and benefits through it. The chairman of the group is Mrs. Anjali Srivas and the secretary is Mrs. Meena Dhruv. After joining the Bihaan scheme, all the sisters of the group got Rs 15,000 under the Bihaan scheme. After one year, the group received 60 thousand from the Community Investment Fund. Using this amount, two didies of the group started the work of development of kirana shop and bari with the aim of increasing the income of their family. The group made a plan to do fish farming collectively in the pond made in the village itself and applied for this. Apart from this, the group’s sisters, with the help of the team of the Block Project Management Unit, submitted an application for a loan in the bank to increase their sources of income. Due to which the group got an assistance amount of 50 thousand rupees from the bank in the form of loan. Out of this amount, using an amount of Rs 17 thousand, the group started the work of fish farming. The group’s didis have been doing fish farming for more than three years and the sisters are also getting good income from this work. From this work, the group has received an income of Rs. 2 lakh 9 thousand so far. Due to which the sisters of all the groups are very excited. All the sisters of Chandni Mahila Self Help Group have joined the National Rural Livelihood Mission Bihan Yojana and are motivating other women of the village to become financially empowered.
