Poster competition was organized today at New Convention Hall Circuit House, Raipur by Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board under the public awareness campaign on June 05, World Environment Day. The theme of this competition was kept “plastic pollution – side effects and solutions” under the campaign being run by the board against plastic waste. In which about 450 children of different age groups participated.
Addressing the award distribution ceremony of this poster competition, P.C. Pandey, IDS, Chairman, State Level Expert Evaluation Committee, Chhattisgarh said that we have to stop using plastic for healthy lifestyle. Especially urged not to use carry bags made of plastic. Pandey said that due to the use of plastic, we may have to face serious diseases like cancer. Pandey called for school and college children to join this campaign for environmental protection.
The poster competition organized by the board was kept in the four age group, the first class was kept from 12 years, the second class 13 to 17 years, the third class 18 to 21 years and the fourth class Divyang was kept, in which about 300 children participated.

Pooja and third – Pranit Sarkar remained. The participants were awarded with attractive cash prizes. On this occasion, industry representatives, Chhattisgarh environmental protection officers and large number of school students were present.
