The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast normal weather conditions for the country. Delhi-NCR, along with several other states, is experiencing a resurgence of intense heat. The capital, Delhi, is currently facing the brunt of the heat after the recent rains. According to the weather department, there is no chance of rain in the coming days. The weather is expected to remain clear today, with a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius. The temperature could remain above 40 degrees Celsius from tomorrow until June 14th. This means Delhi residents will have to endure the heat for the next five days. Uttar Pradesh is also experiencing severe heat. The state is seeing intense sunshine during the day, leading to significant heat. The weather department does not see any possibility of rain in the state until June 11th. Heat waves may affect Bundelkhand, Vindhya, and adjacent areas from June 9th to 11th. From June 11th, easterly winds could become active in eastern Uttar Pradesh, potentially bringing rain.
In Bihar, the weather will remain dry in most districts today. The capital, Patna, may see a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius. The weather department has issued a warning for rain to start again from June 10th. Before that, the state may experience humid heat. There could be an increase of up to four degrees in the maximum and minimum temperatures. Meanwhile, light rain and thunderstorms are expected in the evening in several districts, including Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand.
Heatwaves are expected in western Rajasthan from June 8th-11th, in Punjab and Haryana from June 9th-11th, and in North Madhya Pradesh on June 9th and 10th. Heavy rain is expected in South India and the northeastern states from June 10th. Light to moderate rain is likely in most parts of Northeast India over the next seven days.
