A disturbing incident unfolded in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, where traffic police officers were brutally assaulted by auto-rickshaw drivers in broad daylight. The incident occurred at the Kathal More in the Nagri police station area, with video footage capturing the violent encounter. The footage, now circulating on social media, shows the auto drivers attacking the officers. Reports indicate that the assault involved three to four auto drivers who reportedly used stones to attack the traffic police personnel. One officer, identified as Rohit Ganjhu, sustained serious head injuries in the assault and was rushed to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) hospital in Ranchi for treatment. The auto drivers involved in the attack fled the scene following the assault. Police are currently conducting raids to apprehend the perpetrators and the Ranchi Traffic SP has vowed to take strict action against those responsible. The Nagri police station in-charge is overseeing the investigation.
