State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal. Arrangements will be made to prevent stray cattle from coming on the main roads of the state. Cattle control action will be taken by running a special campaign for 15 days across the state. The state government has constituted a stray cattle committee for this. The chairman of the committee will be the Additional Chief Secretary Home. Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development, Principal Secretary Public Works Department and Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department have been made members of the committee. The Principal Secretary will be the Member Secretary of the Urban Housing and Development Committee. Suggestions received for cattle control will also be included under this special campaign.
Instructions were given to collectors
It is worth mentioning that earlier the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department of the State Government had issued instructions to the collectors of all the districts to take measures to control stray cattle on major roads. For this, it was also said that a grant of Rs. 5 lakhs would be given to each district.
Cattle keepers will be put under control
In fact, many road accidents have happened in July-August due to stray cattle roaming or sitting on major roads. Cattle herders leave their cattle in the open during rainy days, which is causing this problem. A permanent solution to this problem will be found on the basis of the suggestions of this committee. Strict action can also be initiated against such cattle herders.
