Shabbir Ahmed, Bhopal. Bhopal court has issued summons against Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. The court ordered him to appear on May 9. This whole matter is related to the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections of 2018. Judicial magistrate Tathagata Yagnik has issued summons in this case. Rahul Gandhi had said in a rally that Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and his son Karthikeya are named in Panama Papers.

Later he denied the statement on Shivraj Singh Chauhan, but did not improve the matter on Karthikeya. On this, Karthikeya filed a case against him. Karthikeya alleges that Rahul Gandhi made false and derogatory statements at Jhabua rally on 29 October 2018. This damaged his reputation. The case was still unregistered, but the court has registered it. At the same time, the court has issued summons to Rahul Gandhi and asked to appear now.
