According to the ADCP, Tanmay Sonwania received a link on Instagram in March. After this, he received a call saying that a personal loan of Rs 2,000 has been approved.

The accused got the money app installed

Tanmay repaid two thousand rupees in seven days. The accused kept giving loans without informing him and Tanmay kept repaying them. Finally, they got the VM loan app installed. They took one and a half lakh rupees from Tanmay in different ways. The accused called again after 15 days and said that six more loans are pending.

Three lakh rupees were demanded. When Tanmay refused, he was threatened to widely circulate his obscene photos. According to the ADCP, money was taken from Tanmay through Paytm and transferred to grocery shops and other places.
