Navdunia Representative, Bhopal. Guest teachers from across the state have gathered at Ambedkar Park in the capital on Wednesday on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and are protesting with five-point demands including regularization. The guest teachers want to present their demands before Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav while carrying out Nyaya Yatra till CM House.
In view of the demonstration of guest teachers, the police have made strict security arrangements. A large number of police forces are present around Ambedkar Park. To stop the protesters from moving forward, the police have also placed barricades at some distance.
State President of Guest Teacher Coordination Committee, Sunil Singh Parihar said that no order has been issued yet regarding the things which School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh had agreed upon in the meeting with the delegation after the Tricolor Yatra on September 10.
He said that many demands were agreed upon in the meeting including 10 month contract, adding 10 marks every year in the score card, adding maximum 100 marks in 10 years, giving re-opportunity to about 12 thousand guest teachers whose exam results were less than 30 percent. Till now no order has been issued in this regard. The government is continuously breaking promises to guest teachers. Now we are not going to sit silent.
Hurt by the statement of the School Education Minister
The guest teachers are also hurt and angry by the statement of the School Education Minister in which he had said that if you have come as a guest, will you take over the house? In protest against this, the guest teachers had given a memorandum to the Chief Minister to BJP District Presidents, MLAs and Collector SDMs in all the districts, urging them to take cognizance. Guest teachers say that the School Education Minister should not insult us, but do justice to us.
warning of fast unto death
Addressing the guest teachers gathered at Ambedkar Park, the organization’s state president KC Pawar said that if the government does not clarify its stand soon, we will fast unto death on the streets of Bhopal.
