Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel has called upon the youth to become conductors of development of the society with the new light of knowledge. The meaning of life lies in working with the sense of development of the country and society.
Governor Shri Patel was addressing the denotified, nomadic and semi-nomadic tribal students who came to visit the Raj Bhavan under the aegis of Samvedna Sansthan at Raj Bhavan. Principal Secretary to the Governor Shri D.P. Ahuja was present.
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that Mahatma Buddha had described knowledge as the most powerful weapon. All kinds of challenges in life can be faced only through education. The present generation is fortunate that education has not been confined to any religion or class. Biggest success can be achieved in life with hard work, dedication, strong will power. He mentioned about the visually challenged girl from Gujarat who has secured 85 percent marks in the examination using typewriter. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has made available the opportunity of education in regional languages in the National Education Policy so that not even a single child of the village is deprived of education. He inspired the children to read books focusing on martyrs, great men and educative books. Children have also been asked to write memoirs of their visit to Raj Bhavan.
At the outset, Sushri Khushbu and Shri Umesh Kalawat presented a Tulsi plant to the Governor. Giving information about the organization, the organization’s secretary Sushri Divya Parmar said that students from 14 villages of 4 districts are included in the tour program. Shri Sanjeev Kalawat and Sushri Kumkum Kalawat, third year engineering students mentioned about the cooperation extended by Samvedna Sanstha. They told that the opportunity to meet the Governor has strengthened their intentions to move forward. Sushri Anita Jaipuria gave the welcome address. Shri Ajay proposed the vote of thanks.
