Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel honoured litterateurs with national honour in the Republic festival ‘Lokrang’. He gave awards to the winners of the Republic Day function. He digitally dedicated the app prepared by the Culture Department. Governor Shri Patel inaugurated the ‘Lokrang’ festival by lighting the lamp. He visited the exhibition ‘Abhyarthana’ of artistic lamps at Ravindra Bhawan. Live presentations of tribal life and crafts were also showcased on the occasion. He acquainted himself with the culture of the community closely by visiting the exhibition focused on denotified and nomadic topics. Governor Shri Patel and Minister Sushri Thakur honoured Dr. Shyam Sundar Dubey with the National Kabir Samman for his excellent creative contribution in the field of Hindi since the year 2021. National Maithili Sharan Gupta Samman was given to Dr. Sadanand Prasad Gupta for research writing and excellent creative contribution to Hindi literature since the year 2021. National Sharad Joshi Award was given to Dr. Shriram Parihar for relevant scholarly expression in the field of fine essay since 2021. On this occasion, the National Iqbal Award for the year 2021 was awarded to Dr. Syed Taqi Hasan Abidi’s representative in his absence. State Level Awards of Republic Day Parade and Tableaux
Governor Shri Patel and Minister Sushri Thakur honoured the winners of parade, folk-dance, cultural presentations and tableaux by giving them trophies and certificates. Jail Department got the first place, Tourism Department got the second place and Forest Department got the third place in tableaux. In the contingent category, the first position was awarded to Hawk Force, second to Special Armed Forces and third to STF Platoon. In the category of civilian contingent, the first position was awarded to Ex-Servicemen, second to NCC Air Wing, third position jointly to Senior Division NCC Army Wing (Girls) and NCC Naval Wing. In schools Government Naveen Higher Secondary School stood at first, Hema Higher Secondary School BHEL stood at second and Mansarovar Public School got the third position. In folk dance cultural performances, Bhil Bhagoriya tribal folk dance got first place, Korku Thatia folk dance got second place and Gudum Baja folk dance got third place.
Presentation of ‘Charaiveti’ dance drama focusing on Kalbelia community of Rajasthan
A dance drama based on the life of Kalbeliya community of Rajasthan community ‘Charaiveti’ was presented at Lokrang. In this, the life tradition, culture of the Kalbelia community was shown. The dance drama was directed by Shri Ramchandra Singh, a renowned artist and actor of Bhopal. About 100 artistes performed in the presentation. Renowned actress Sushri Himani Shivpuri did the role of Sutradhar in the play. The script of the dance drama was prepared by Shri Yogesh Tripathi-Rewa and Sushri Aditi Gaur-Bhopal. Lokrang Utsav will be celebrated till January 30 at Ravindra Bhawan Complex, Bhopal. Vimukt and Ghumantu theme has been kept in the center of Lokrang. In Lokrang, there will be performances of folk dances of 12 states of the country along with Ukraine, UK, Egypt. In the Lokrang Utsav, fair of crafts of various craft mediums “Hunar”, exhibition of artistic lamps “Abhyarthana”, “Book fair” of books on art and culture, exhibition of indigenous dishes “Swad”, “Lokraag” on singing performance are also the main attractions. .
