Naiduniya Representative, Indore: In the rural areas of the district, the benefits of government schemes are not reaching the rural people. In fact, recently the Panchayat and Rural Development Department has released the grading for the month of April. In which Indore district has come on the third position in the division while Alirajpur district of the tribal region is on the first position.
District wise grading related to government schemes
The Panchayat and Rural Development Department has released district-wise grading related to various schemes of April 2024. In this, A Plus, A, B grades are given to the districts for better performance in the schemes related to State Rural Livelihood Mission, Mahatma Gandhi NREGA, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Panchayat Sector, CM Helpline.
Indore got third place
In this year’s grading, Indore has secured third position in overall grading, whereas earlier Indore Rural was in second position. Indore has got 4.38 marks in overall grading whereas Alirajpur got 4.63 and Harda got 6.50 marks and remained in second position.
According to the information, Indore District Panchayat has always been in the top three, but in the grading released this time, Indore got only 80 marks in the work done under Indore Ajivika Mission Yojana, while Dhar got 90 marks. Similarly, the work done under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Scheme (MGNREGA) got only Grade B of 62 marks.
A grading in PM housing scheme
In the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Indore’s position was good in terms of completing the targets given to the district from the year 2016-17 to 2021-22 and getting approval as per the target set in the year 2021-22 and got A grading by getting 90 marks. On the other hand, Indore’s position was bad in the matter of foodgrain lifting, MIS feeding to inspection etc. under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Yojana and got grade B.
Failed in ODF too
Grading was also done on the physical report of the progress of individual toilet construction and community sanitation complex. In this, Indore Rural lagged behind by two marks in the progress of construction of individual toilets and got only 98 marks out of 100. Whereas Bhopal, Raisen, Badwani, Betul got 100 marks. Let us tell you that Indore was declared the first district of the state to be open defecation free (ODF- Open Defecation Free) in the year 2016.
