Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state government has issued Madhya Pradesh Logistics Policy-2025 to strengthen the state’s economy and attract investors gathered in GIS. The innovations of the policy will improve supply efficiency by reduced the cost of logistics. He said that the objective of the policy is to develop efficient, reliable and strategically permanent world class logistics infrastructure in the state, so that logistic costs can be reduced by global standards by 2030. This will make the state an attractive place for domestic and international businesses.
Madhya Pradesh Logistics Policy-2025 will also prove to be important towards overall economic development of the state. This policy will play an important role in making the state a major center of logistics, attracting investors and promoting business. This will give new heights to the economy of Madhya Pradesh in the coming years. To ensure effective implementation of the policy, the state government is focusing on reducing port turn Around time. Also, e-delivery orders will be introduced from the PCS-One system, making the logistics processes more streamlined and transparent. Dedicate labs will be set up for Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, which will enable product safety rules and quality standards. Technological innovation will increase security like Radio Frequency Identification Door (RFID) and the movement of goods will also be intensified. Also, the inclusion of unified logistics interface platform will make the exchange of data in the logistics price chain simple and fast. The innovations of the policy also include the Green Card Scheme, which will approve such logistics operators who will adopt green-transportation.
Infrastructure development will increase transport efficiency
The state government is developing more than 20 cargo terminals to develop eligible infrastructure of inland and international logistic transport. This will strengthen the logistics network. These terminals will be equipped with state -of -the -art facilities, which will facilitate freight. Lowering transportation costs will increase the benefits of businessmen and more investment will be attracted in the state.
Special infrastructure will develop to increase export capacity
An important organ of Madhya Pradesh Logistics Policy-2025 is also to increase the state’s export capacity. For this, provisions have been included in the policy to develop export parks. The development of these parks will get 100 percent reimbursement on stamp duty and registration fee, as well as financial assistance of up to Rs 40 crore or 50 percent per acre for infrastructure development. The establishment of general pro-culture facilities for exporters will also be encouraged. For this, financial assistance will be provided up to 25 percent of the project cost or up to a maximum of Rs 25 crore. Green Industry has also been encouraged in the policy. For this, up to 50 percent reimbursement will be provided on the establishment of zero liquid systems of waste management and centralized waste management systems.

For this, export diversification is being promoted, enhancing efficiency of export-oriented units and developing strong export-oriented logistics infrastructure. The objectives of the policy include increasing the amount of exports, increasing the export price of “Made in Madhya Pradesh” products and the creation of employment opportunities in the logistics sector.
