Navdunia Representative, Bhopal. Kapil Parmar, the beloved son of Madhya Pradesh, who won the bronze medal in the Paralympics-2024 played in Paris recently, reached Bhopal on Friday. He was given a grand welcome here. State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang met Kapil at Tatya Tope Stadium and honored him and congratulated him on winning the medal in the Paralympic Games.
On this occasion, Sports Minister Sarang made a big announcement in the interest of para athletes. Minister Sarang said that separate training arrangements will be made for para athletes in all the sports academies of the state. Along with jobs, special budget will also be provided for para athletes.
Kapil is a player of MP Sports Academy
It is worth noting that Kapil Parmar is the first player from the country to win a medal in Paralympic Judo. He has trained at the MP State Judo Academy. He achieved this success by defeating Elitton de Oliveira of Brazil in the bronze medal match in the men’s J1-60 kg category at the Paralympics held in Paris from 28 August to 80 September.
I lost my eyesight in an accident
Kapil is originally a resident of Sehore. He lost his eyesight due to an electric shock in 2009-10. Kapil is 80 percent blind. He started playing Judo in adverse circumstances. He participated in the Paralympics for the first time. Kapil has represented India in 17 international competitions so far. He has won a total of 13 international medals including 8 gold medals so far.
