Separate presentations were given in Mantralaya today on the innovations made by the police in capital city Bhopal and state’s largest city Indore and Shri Mahakal, Ujjain in front of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Collectors, Commissioners, SPs, IGs in the concluding session of the conference. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan appreciated these innovations.
Innovation of Bhopal Police: Nai Parade
The Bhopal Police Commissioner’s Office informed that in order to improve the physical and mental health of police officers and employees an innovation named Nai Parade has been made. Shri Vineet Kapoor, DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police) of Police Commissioner’s Office told in the presentation that the police personnel are unable to pay attention to their health due to constant duty. The outcome of this is seen in the form of irritability and decrease in their performance level. As a part of solution to this, 80 police personnel from constable level to SP rank are given training for three days per week. In this, work is done under the guidance of experts. Pathology test, body composition test and psychological test for mental health, yoga practice, pranayama, food and diet control, emotional intelligence workshop is conducted to impart training. Necessary counseling is given for overall fitness. So far 17 camps have been completed. Police personnel have described it as highly beneficial.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan’s reaction The new police parade is necessary not only for the police department but also for the officers and employees of other departments. Government servants should stay physically and mentally fit by staying away from emotions like anger, depression etc. If the new parade is fine then all the parades will be fine.
Innovation of Indore Police: Deaf & Dumb Help Line
DCP Shri Rajat Sakhlecha gave a presentation on the innovation of the deaf-dumb helpline by the Indore city police in the conference. So far 117 complaints have been received in this innovation. These have also been resolved. Necessary assistance is being provided to deaf-dumb people on the number 75876-32133 in the first-of-its-kind deaf-dumb helpline in the country. Police can be told about the problem by making a video call or text message on this number. A trained team solves the problem of the hearing impaired person. Foreign delegates visited this helpline center in Indore on Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. Preparations are being made to start it in Mauritius. The presentation gave examples of how a hearing impaired woman was provided relief when she came to know about harassment by her close family members. A deaf and dumb student also expressed his thanks to the Indore Police Commissioner after taking assistance from the helpline.
The benefits of this helpline are being explained to the deaf and dumb children with the help of sign language. Victims are easily registering complaints through video calls.

Innovation of Ujjain Police: Shri Mahakal Temple Crowd Management – public cooperation
Superintendent of Police, Ujjain Shri Satyendra Kumar Shukla told in the presentation that on some occasions a large number of devotees and tourists arrive in Ujjain. The police administration played a significant role in the celebration of important festivals like Shravan Bhadrapada month sawari, Mahashiratri festival, Deepotsav, sawari in Kartik month, Harihar Milan, Somvati, Shanichari and Bhutri Amavasya as well as Ujjain Gaurav Diwas and Gudi Padwa peacefully and enthusiastically. Under Shravan/Bhadrapada month sawari, the general ride route which is four and a half kilometers long and the royal ride route that is six and a half kilometers long has about 2 lakh and 5 lakh visitors respecitively. About 100 Bhajan Mandalis remained active on both the sawaris. After an estimation, there was the challenge of crowd management. Crowd management was done through public cooperation and trained police force. The volunteers who were prepared handled the arrangements in a better way.
Towing party system, CCTV control system, ghat system, pressure point system and high rise building system were arranged in Mahakal sawari system. The entire sawari route was divided into 7 sectors. Crowd was managed successfully on occasions like inauguration of Shri Mahakal and Nag Panchami. Videos of the arrangements made in the presentation were also shown.
