The Defence Ministry confirmed that the approved proposals will add a layered shield against drone threats, bolster anti‑tank firepower for infantry units and provide medium‑range air defence to counter emerging aerial risks. The very short‑range air‑defence system incorporates multi‑spectral sensors, allowing it to operate effectively even in the presence of electronic counter‑measures. Tank‑mounted active protection systems are expected to raise survivability on the battlefield, while the jet‑based combat drone will deliver higher lethality at lower cost and improved resilience.
