Adani Airport Holdings and global hospitality giant IHG Hotels & Resorts have signed a landmark agreement to build five hotels, injecting 1,500 rooms into India's aviation-adjacent infrastructure. Targeted at major airports and thriving urban spots, the project underscores the synergy between India's aviation surge and tourism boom. Kicking off with Kimpton's India entry in Jaipur, the lineup features Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express within Adani Airport Cities. Upcoming properties in Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram will cater to diverse travelers, from business executives to leisure seekers. 'Our expansion in hospitality and airport-centric urban infrastructure aims to craft seamless, world-class experiences,' stated Pranav Adani, Adani Enterprises Director. He added that the IHG tie-up is a pivotal step toward bolstering quality stays aligned with India's travel growth trajectory. IHG's Sudip Jain echoed the excitement: 'Partnering with Adani on airport-linked projects reveals vast opportunities in a market hungry for premium options amid strong multi-segment demand.' Backed by eight airports handling 90 million passengers yearly, Adani's Airport City vision integrates aviation with retail, dining, conferences, Grade-A offices, entertainment zones, and arenas across 650+ acres in prime locations like Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and more. Phase one alone targets 20 million sq ft of developments. With talks underway for further collaboration, this deal heralds innovative hospitality solutions, positioning India as a global travel powerhouse.
