Anticipated for a 2025 release, potentially at Apple’s September event, the AirPods Pro 3 are generating buzz with leaked design specifics. Information from tipster Majin Bu indicates substantial upgrades to the charging case, accompanied by improvements in audio quality and connectivity.
One key update highlighted for the charging case is a subtle reduction in size, according to information from an accessory manufacturer. However, the appearance of the cases appears almost identical to previous models, as assessed through obtained photos and dimensions.
Additionally, Apple is removing the traditional pairing button. Instead, the case itself will feature touch controls, similar to the AirPods 4. This will allow users to pair the earbuds with iOS devices, as well as control music playback and adjust volume via touch gestures on the case. Lanyard support will remain, ensuring compatibility with existing accessories and Apple’s new lanyard design.
The AirPods Pro 3 are expected to retain the overall design of its predecessors, with subtle refinements to enhance aesthetics. The familiar design aims to provide a seamless transition for existing users while introducing new features to elevate the overall user experience.
