On Sunday, millions of Airtel users across the country experienced significant disruptions. Numerous individuals reported dropped calls, lack of network signal, and complete internet shutdowns. The company has not yet issued an official response. This is the second major network failure for Airtel within a week.
The network issues began around 10:44 AM and intensified by 12:14 PM. Over 7,000 users were unable to use calls and internet services. This is the second significant network failure in a week; previously, on August 19th, more than 3,500 users faced similar problems.
Complaints have been reported from across the nation, but the impact was most pronounced in Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Cuttack, and Kolkata.
According to DownDetector reports, 52% of users experienced call issues, 32% faced problems accessing the internet, and 17% reported a complete network blackout. As a result, users are expressing their frustration on social media.
One user, mentioning airtelindia, wrote that the entire network in their area was down. Although the broadband was working, the reporting system was not functioning. Another user stated that the network in Karnataka had been down since the morning, with no calls or internet access. Users are urging Airtel to resolve the issue promptly.
Airtel has not yet released an official statement regarding the outage, but it is expected that the company will address the problem quickly.
