Anticipation builds as Apple prepares for its upcoming event, where the iPhone 17 series is expected to be unveiled. Following the launch, several older, popular devices from the brand are slated to be discontinued. The announcement, anticipated for September 9, includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Air, alongside updated Apple Watch models and a new AirPods Pro. This event not only showcases new releases but also marks the annual discontinuation of certain existing Apple products. Reports suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will likely be discontinued after the arrival of the iPhone 17 series. Once the new models are available, the previous year’s flagship models could be removed from the official lineup. However, these phones might still be available through other platforms, though with limited stock. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are also expected to be phased out. Discounts on older models could be available during the festive season. Additionally, Apple may replace the current Watch Series with the upcoming one. The Watch Series 10 is expected to be discontinued with the launch of the Watch Series 11. The Watch Ultra 2, introduced two years ago, might also be discontinued after the launch of the Watch Ultra 3 on September 9. The affordable Watch SE model is also likely to be replaced by the latest Watch SE 2.
