Apple is reportedly preparing to launch its first foldable iPhone next year, sparking considerable excitement among potential buyers. The company, already gearing up for the launch of its new iPhone 17 series, is rumored to be developing a foldable device, codenamed V68. This innovative device is expected to adopt a design similar to Samsung’s Z Fold series, unfolding to resemble a tablet. The upcoming foldable iPhone is expected to feature an advanced camera system, potentially including four cameras. These would comprise one front-facing camera, one on the inner screen, and two on the rear. This configuration is intended to significantly enhance photo and video quality. Instead of Face ID, the phone may integrate Touch ID, and it’s anticipated to operate exclusively on eSIM technology, eliminating the need for a physical SIM card slot. Apple’s suppliers have already begun working on this model, with production expected to ramp up early next year. The foldable iPhone is slated for launch in 2025, possibly alongside the iPhone 18 series. The device is currently being tested in black and white color options. Apple is incorporating a new in-cell touch technology for the display, aiming to minimize screen creases and enhance touch responsiveness. Furthermore, the phone might feature Apple’s own C2 modem, potentially replacing Qualcomm’s components, for improved performance and network connectivity. While there’s no official confirmation from Apple, the foldable iPhone is anticipated to make its market debut next year.
