Truecaller, a widely used app, is set to discontinue its call recording feature for iPhone users starting September 30th. This decision may come as a surprise to many users. The popular caller ID and spam-blocking app offers numerous useful features, but the call recording functionality will be removed. During a conversation with TechCrunch, Nakul Kabra, the iOS head at Truecaller, stated that the company decided to remove call recording on iOS to focus on other features like live caller ID and automatic spam call blocking. The Truecaller Call Recording Feature, launched in June 2023, was initially available to paying iPhone customers but was later extended to Android users. Apple does not natively allow any third-party app to record calls. Users have been advised to download their recordings before the deadline, as all recordings will be deleted after September 30th. To save recordings on the iPhone, users need to open the Truecaller app on their phone, go to the record tab, tap on the settings icon, and click on the storage preference option and change it to iCloud storage. If the option is off, go to Settings > Name > iCloud > Saved in iCloud > Truecaller on.
