With the Bihar elections expected in November 2025, citizens can now download a digital copy of their Voter ID card from the comfort of their homes. This guide provides a step-by-step process to obtain your Voter ID online. To begin, ensure you have access to the mobile number registered with your Voter ID and your Voter ID (EPIC Number). Without these, the download process cannot be completed. The registered mobile number is crucial for the final verification step, which involves an OTP (One-Time Password) for security.
To download your Voter ID, start by visiting the National Voter Service Portal at https://voters.eci.gov.in. On the homepage, locate and click the ‘E-EPIC Download’ option on the right side of the screen. After clicking the download option, you will be prompted to log in. Enter the mobile number linked to your Voter ID card, and log in using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
Once logged in, you’ll find two options for downloading your Voter ID: using your EPIC Number or a Reference Number. Choose your preferred method; this example uses the Voter ID card number. Enter your Voter ID card number and select your state, then click the ‘Search’ button. The details associated with your Voter ID will appear. Finally, click on the ‘Send OTP’ option. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to complete the verification, and the option to download your Voter ID card will be available.
