Building a Robust Care Ecosystem: Roadmap Highlights for 2047 Vision
Niti Aayog’s latest analysis maps out a detailed plan to transform India’s fragmented care landscape into a coordinated, professional and future‑focused system. The report stresses that “service and compassion” have always been central to India’s civilisational ethos and should be reflected in a modern, organized care sector.
Dr. R. Balasubramanian, a member of the commission, said a strong care framework would deepen social inclusion, empower communities, and generate quality livelihoods for millions of caregivers. The roadmap targets the creation of a National Care Policy and a National Caregiver Council to steer implementation, promote research, and foster public‑private partnerships.
Key actions include establishing standardized curricula, expanding social security for caregivers, incentivising private sector participation, and encouraging community‑driven care networks. The plan is designed to support India’s development agenda up to 2047, ensuring that care provision becomes a catalyst for inclusive growth.
