The Sabour campus of Bihar Agricultural University has successfully integrated refractance window drying with a cold‑press extraction unit to produce mango kernel powder and butter oil at pilot‑plant scale. Scientists report that the technique retains up to 85% of the original nutrient content, making the products suitable for incorporation into fortified foods, dietary supplements, and green chemistry applications. The university envisions a rollout that will see the technology adopted by mango processing units nationwide, thereby reducing landfill waste and enhancing the circular economy in the agri‑food chain.
