EOS-05 launch marks 107th launch from Satish Dhawan, 19th GSLV mission

On September 4, ISRO celebrated a milestone as the EOS‑05 satellite reached its intended orbit, marking the 107th launch from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre and the 19th mission of the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) series.

The launch vehicle employed a 4‑meter diameter composite ogive fairing to house the payload. After a flawless ascent, EOS‑05 was placed into a sub‑geosynchronous transfer orbit before maneuvering to its final geostationary slot.

The satellite is the first Indian imaging platform to operate from a geostationary orbit, offering continuous coverage of the Indian subcontinent with advanced imaging sensors.
