With the Google Pixel 10 launch approaching rapidly, the company has subtly targeted Apple in a teaser video. The video alludes to Apple’s unfulfilled promises and delays in Artificial Intelligence (AI) features. While Apple isn’t explicitly named, Google’s message is clear. The video suggests that if a user purchased a new phone expecting a particular feature that hasn’t materialized after a year, they should reconsider their definition of ‘soon’ or switch phones. The video concludes with the phrase, ‘Ask more of your phone,’ highlighting the capabilities and timely AI features expected in the upcoming Pixel smartphones. Apple announced its new AI technology, Apple Intelligence, at the 2024 WWDC event. However, these features are yet to be fully accessible to users. Even the new version of Siri, a key component of Apple Intelligence, is not included in iOS 18. Reports suggest Apple might delay this feature until 2026, as work on iOS 26 has already begun, leading to criticism, especially as other companies rapidly advance in AI.
