Users of Xiaomi smartphones, TVs, and laptops are advised to take note of a critical security flaw identified by the Indian government’s cyber security agency, CERT-In. The agency has issued a warning regarding vulnerabilities found in the Xiaomi Mi Connect App. This flaw could potentially affect millions of users, allowing malicious actors to gain access to devices and bypass security measures. CERT-In recommends that users immediately update the Mi Connect app to the latest version to mitigate the risk. Older versions, specifically those before or equal to 3.1.895.10, are particularly vulnerable. The agency emphasizes the importance of prompt action to prevent potential cyberattacks and data breaches.
