Government Highlights Cost‑Effective Health Supplements for All Age Groups

The central government highlighted on Thursday that the Jan Aushadhi Bharat initiative is delivering nutraceuticals at prices that make them reachable for every Indian household. The catalogue now includes protein bars, immunity bars, malt‑based nutritional foods and specialised blends, all priced below prevailing market rates.

Key products feature a 35‑gram chocolate‑flavoured protein bar and a matching immunity bar, both aimed at children, working adults and seniors. The Women Protein Boost, a 250‑gram pack in chocolate or vanilla, is listed at ₹204.66 and is tailored to support protein intake, bone health and energy levels for women at different stages of life.

Malt‑based nutrition packs, enriched with essential vitamins and minerals, are sold at ₹160.17 for a 500‑gram pack, while the cocoa‑flavoured version is priced at ₹164.62. A convenient 30‑gram cocoa sachet costs only ₹8.90, giving families the option to buy according to their consumption needs.

The scheme also supplies 100 % whey protein powder and Jan Aushadhi Protein Powder in vanilla and saffron‑pistachio flavours, providing a reliable source of protein for muscle recovery and daily dietary requirements. Authorities reiterated that specialized nutrition products must be used under professional advice, but their reduced pricing makes balanced nutrition more attainable for the economically vulnerable.
