To spur private participation, the cabinet has introduced capital subsidies of up to ₹2 crore per tonne‑per‑day for greenfield CBG plants and for brownfield capacity upgrades. The assistance covers not only plant machinery but also feedstock collection systems, organic fertiliser processing units and other critical value‑chain assets. In addition, a cluster‑based pipeline network will link CBG plants to CGD grids, lowering transport costs, enhancing supply reliability and expanding market reach. An MSME‑focused credit guarantee mechanism will share a part of the loan risk, reducing collateral demands and widening access to affordable finance.
