Integrated Earth System Science PhDs to Benefit from MoES and ISRO Partnership

Through the newly signed MoU, the Ministry of Earth Sciences and ISRO aim to foster interdisciplinary research in climate modelling, numerical weather prediction, polar ice studies, ocean observation, deep‑sea mining, seismology, coastal processes, marine resources and the application of artificial intelligence in Earth sciences. Intellectual property generated during the programmes will credit the student as the inventor, while joint IP will be shared by mutual agreement. The arrangement is expected to boost early‑career scientists, provide them with broader academic exposure, and create a shared pool of high‑value research infrastructure across national laboratories.
