Under the IFMS, data on production, imports, interstate movement and retail sale of fertilizers are captured instantly. This digital oversight helps coordinate with the Railways, which allocates dedicated rakes for fast transport of fertilizers to each state. Priority loading is granted to subsidised batches, reducing transit delays and keeping farmgate availability high throughout the Kharif cycle.
