During the Apple Event 2025, details regarding the iOS 26 update were revealed, alongside the iPhone 17 Series. Apple introduced a new ‘liquid glass interface’ designed to provide a fresh user experience. The update is scheduled to roll out on September 15th via over-the-air updates. However, not all iPhone models will be compatible. Some older models will not receive the update. The availability of certain features may vary based on language and region, due to local laws and regulations. The following models will not be receiving the iOS 26 update: iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone XR. The following models are compatible with iOS 26: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd Generation), and iPhone 16e. The following models will support Apple Intelligence in iOS 26: iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and iPhone 16e. To access the beta version, users must sign in with their Apple ID through the Apple Developer Program. After registration, navigate to Software Update under General in the phone’s settings to download the beta version.
