New details about the upcoming iPhone 17 series have surfaced, originating from reports circulating in the Taiwanese market. While Apple is set to launch the iPhone 17 series soon, these leaks offer insights into potential features. Rumors suggest that the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro models will feature 120Hz displays, which will enhance the user experience with smoother scrolling and content viewing. This represents an upgrade, as the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models currently have 60Hz displays.
Additionally, the iPhone 17 Air is rumored to incorporate a “Silicon Anode battery.” This battery technology is expected to provide higher energy density compared to the graphite batteries used in other iPhone models. Further speculation suggests that the iPhone 17 Air may also include a battery case to ensure all-day battery life on a single charge. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Air may transition to an eSIM-only design, foregoing a physical SIM card slot to facilitate an ultra-thin design. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are anticipated to have enhanced optical zoom capabilities through optimized software algorithms, potentially increasing the zoom limit from 5x in the iPhone 16 Pro models up to 8x.
