The central government has extended the deadline for filing ITR to September 15, leaving less than 10 days. In response, the Income Tax Department has launched two apps designed to assist taxpayers with ITR filing. The official apps for the fiscal year 2024-25, ‘AIS App’ and ‘Income Tax Department App,’ allow taxpayers to file taxes from their mobile devices. These apps simplify the ITR filing process, offering direct filing capabilities. They are specifically tailored for salaried individuals, pensioners, and small taxpayers with straightforward income profiles.
