Lam Research Expands R&D and Supply Chain Partnerships Across India

Lam Research’s corporate vice‑president and managing director, Rangesh Raghavan, stated that India forms a critical pillar of the company’s global innovation and growth strategy. The announced 10,000‑crore‑rupee investment will not only fund a new silicon component manufacturing hub but also deepen R&D capabilities.

The India Centre of Engineering will continue to support design, testing, validation and next‑generation chip technology projects for customers worldwide. Lam Research also pledged to work closely with the Indian government, academia, suppliers, start‑ups and other stakeholders to accelerate semiconductor innovation.

Current collaborations already involve local vendors supplying specialty gases, chemicals, metrology tools and precision components essential for chip fabrication.

The expansion is projected to bring advanced manufacturing expertise to India, develop a future‑ready semiconductor workforce, and reinforce the country’s position in the global high‑tech supply chain.
