Rumors regarding the upcoming iPhone 17 series continue to surface, with the latest details originating from the Taiwanese market. The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro are speculated to include 120Hz displays, which will offer smoother scrolling and content viewing experiences, upgrading from the 60Hz displays found on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to incorporate a “Silicon Anode battery,” promising higher energy density compared to the graphite batteries used in other models. This battery type, potentially a High-Density Battery, is expected to allow for all-day battery life, possibly aided by an included battery case. The iPhone 17 Air may also exclusively utilize eSIM technology, omitting a physical SIM card slot due to its design. Furthermore, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max could see improvements to optical zoom capabilities, potentially increasing the zoom limit from 5x on the iPhone 16 Pro models to as high as 8x. Apple might also adjust its release strategy, introducing lower-end iPhone models in the first half of the year, with the iPhone 18 Air, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone 18 Fold expected to launch in September 2026.
