Meta, in collaboration with Oakley, has unveiled the Oakley Meta HSTN smart glasses, priced at $499. Available from July 11th as a limited edition, and with more models planned for later this summer. These smart glasses are designed for sportspeople, incorporating an IPX4 waterproof rating and an impressive 8-hour battery life, double that of previous Meta Ray-Ban models. The charging case extends the usage to 48 hours. Key features include 3K video recording, enhanced voice control via Meta AI, and real-time visual recognition. The glasses allow users to listen to music, make calls and interact with Meta AI. Equipped with upgraded camera and audio sensors, the Meta AI can also describe surroundings and translate languages. The glasses come in five frame/lens combinations, with an option for prescription lenses. The special-edition version boasts gold trimmings and Oakley’s PRIZM gold lenses. The smart glasses will be sold in over 15 countries.
