Prime Minister Modi Congratulated as CETA Opens Fresh Opportunities

New Delhi, July 15 – The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) extended heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the rollout of the India‑UK Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CETA).

Anand Swaroop, the federation’s secretary‑general, stated that the agreement will create novel avenues for Indian exporters and service firms, enhancing their ability to compete on a global scale. He highlighted the role of collaborative innovation, advanced technology, and talent mobility in driving this competitive edge.

The chamber described the CETA as a significant stride in India’s free‑trade journey, one that will augment the nation’s participation in global value chains and foster innovation‑led growth in both India and the United Kingdom.

Anant Goyanka, FICCI’s president, underscored that high‑quality economic ties are vital for India’s transition to a developed economy, as they expand trade prospects, bolster industrial strength, and increase the country’s influence within worldwide trade and investment networks.
