NIIF Receives Additional AU$500 Million from AustralianSuper, Total Holdings Reach AU$3.3 Billion

The NIIF now holds AustralianSuper assets worth AU$3.3 billion, marking a significant increase from the initial AU$240 million invested in 2019. Chief Investment Officer Shawn Manuel said the fresh AU$500 million underscores the fund’s confidence in India’s long‑term growth prospects and the stable policy environment.

He added that the partnership illustrates how long‑dated capital, forward‑looking policies and trustworthy institutions can jointly deliver sizable returns for members. Manuel noted that the consistency of India’s reform agenda and the ease of deploying capital for institutional players were key reasons for the follow‑on investment.
