The second generation of OnePlus’s foldable smartphone, the OnePlus Open 2, is slated for a 2025 release. The initial OnePlus Open launched in October 2023. According to reports, the Open 2 is now anticipated to arrive in the second half of 2025, a shift from the earlier expected Q1 2025 launch. The device is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a significant upgrade over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Other anticipated features include a 2K+ resolution foldable screen, a 50MP triple camera setup potentially including a circular periscope telephoto lens, 3-stage wireless charging, and a design with a narrower frame and a thinner, lighter build. However, these specifications remain unconfirmed by OnePlus, and actual features may differ upon release.
