OnePlus is planning to launch the second generation of its foldable smartphone, the OnePlus Open 2, in 2025. The original OnePlus Open was released in October 2023, so the delay might disappoint some potential buyers. Reports from tipsters like Sanju Choudhary suggest that the OnePlus Open 2 could be released in the latter half of 2025, a shift from the earlier expected launch in Q1 2025. While the exact launch date and pricing details are still unknown, expectations are building around the specifications. The phone is anticipated to feature a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC processor, an upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It could also include a 2K+ resolution foldable screen, a 50MP triple camera setup with a circular periscope telephoto lens, and 3-stage wireless charging support. Design-wise, the phone may sport a narrower frame and a thinner, lighter build with premium materials like plain leather and glass. However, these specifications are based on rumors and may not be finalized in the final product.
