Punjab National Bank (PNB) contributed a dividend cheque of ₹2,416 crore to the Finance Minister, presented by its MD & CEO Ashok Chandra. Karnataka Bank followed with a dividend of ₹2,397 crore, handed over by its MD & CEO Brijesh Kumar Singh.
Both banks cited strong earnings, improved asset quality and a resilient balance sheet as the drivers behind the payouts. Their contributions form a significant portion of the total ₹9,400 crore dividend package announced by the public sector banking segment for FY 2025‑26.
