Rail Ministry Outlines Safety Measures and New Plant Cost

Minister Ashwini Vaishnav explained that under the public‑private partnership (PPP) model, a new rail water plant can be set up for an estimated cost of around ₹10 crore, exclusive of land expenses. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has been tasked with identifying locations where additional plants are needed, based on demand across the railway network.
