Rail safety boost: ₹461 cr for Kavach 4.0 and electronic interlocking

Indian Railways has earmarked a total of ₹461 crore for two safety initiatives: ₹252 crore for extending Kavach 4.0 in Lucknow and ₹209 crore for installing Electronic Interlocking at seven stations in the Solapur division. Together they provide a layered defence against signal failures and human error.
