Consumers consistently express concerns about battery life, prompting companies to focus on incorporating larger batteries into smartphones. Following the trend of 7000mAh batteries, manufacturers are now preparing to launch smartphones with batteries boasting up to 15000mAh capacity. Realme recently released a teaser showcasing a new smartphone with a 15000mAh battery, the rear of which displays the capacity.
The company claims the phone’s battery can support up to 50 hours of non-stop video streaming on a single charge. Despite the larger battery, the phone is not expected to be bulky or thick.
It is anticipated that this phone will incorporate silicon anode technology, which was unveiled in early 2025. This is a concept device, meaning that the launch may be awaited, but the company is expected to share details with consumers on August 27th. There is speculation that the company may unveil a phone featuring a 10000mAh battery.
In May of this year, Realme revealed a phone with an ultra-high silicon anode battery and a 10000mAh capacity, which may include features like 320W fast charging support. It is anticipated to have a semi-transparent back panel and a thickness of 8.5mm, weighing around 200 grams. Realme’s 320W supersonic charging technology was introduced last year, with claims of charging the phone in just 4 minutes and 30 seconds. The company asserted that the phone could charge to 26% in 1 minute and 50% in 2 minutes.
