Redmi India is set to launch the Redmi 15 5G, a new smartphone featuring a powerful 7000mAh battery. Confirmed for an August 19th release, the phone aims to address users’ battery life concerns with its long-lasting power source. The company has revealed key specifications, including the processor, display details, and camera features. The device will be available in three color options: Frosted White, Sandy Purple, and Midnight Black. The phone will support 18W reverse charging and promises twice the battery life of its predecessors. It is also claimed to offer up to 13.5 hours of standby time on 1% hibernation mode. Despite the large battery, the phone is designed to be slim, featuring a 6.9-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 6S Gen 3 processor and include AI features such as Circle to Search and Gemini support. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP dual AI camera sensor, and the phone will run on Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0.
